About Musical Mathematics

Educational Dynamix, a provider of innovative programs that fulfill
“No Child Left Behind” guidelines, has developed Musical Mathematics.

Because children love music and are naturally drawn to rhythm, the Musical Mathematics series uses children’s innate appreciation of music to help increase their knowledge of mathematical content.

The Musical Mathematics audio CD contains mathematically-themed songs – filled with rhythm and spirit – to teach children the mathematical concept of “skip counting.”

About the songs

Children are motivated to learn when they enjoy what they are doing.
The songs of Musical Mathematics allow instructors to add energy and excitement to math lessons through singing and active engagement.

Several genres of music spanning numerous cultures and rhythmic experiences allow for diverse and effective methods of teaching math concepts that help promote learning and memory.

Each of the songs on the CD were written and performed by singer/songwriter Liz Robinson accompanied by a choir of children.

About the Instructional Resources

Instructional guides provide information to help teachers and parents
use Musical Mathematics to deepen students' understanding of mathematical concepts and enrich their overall math experience.

The three Activity Books for Grades K-2, 1-3 and 2-5 engage students
in learning multiplication facts while simultaneously integrating other mathematical content areas. Children will benefit from using number sense, numeration, algebra, and other mathematic skills as they work
with multiplication.

Teacher Guides provide detailed instruction on how to implement
Musical Mathematics in the classroom.
